The printer receives digital data from a computer as input. However, instead of printing the output on paper, a 3D printer constructs a three-dimensional model out of a custom material.

HOW DOES IT WORK
begins in a computer aided design (CAD) software system, where its blueprint is created. The blueprint is then sent from the CAD system to the printer in a file format known as a Stereolithography (STL), which is typically used in CAD systems to design 3D objects. The printer then reads the blueprint in cross-sections and begins the process of recreating the object layer-by-layer, just as it appears in the computer aided design.

A 2d and 3d cutter is a high powered laser that cuts material such as thin metals or woods, used mostly for industrial purposes. They make precise and clean cuts, it is also is very fast which makes it efficient. It is first designed through a computer and then sent through a laser cutter to give you the design.
2D recognizes the surface of an object;3D, all sides.
The cutters are used to cut big, hard materials such as parts of aircraft, buildings, and cars.
