He born in the city of Trier, Prussia, into a wealthy, middle-class, baptized, assimilated Jewish family. One of the most influential thinkers in history, his views had a significant
impact on the related philosophical trends. Among his works, the Communist Manifesto and The Capital stand out, only the first volumes being edited by his friend Friedrich Engels. He studied at The University of Bonn. He received his doctorate from the University of Jena in 1841 with an excellent degree. In 1842 he first met Friedrich Engels, with whom he later made a lifelong friendship. In 1843 he moved to Paris, which significantly expanded his spiritual horizon. He co-founded the journal Deutsch-Französische Jahrbücher with only one double issue. It was at the time that he wrote his work concluding his critique of religion, his study Introduction to the Critique of the Philosophy of Law in Hegel, and The Jewish Question.
