         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think new Year's resolutions are a good thing as it not a promis you make to some one ells itst a promise that you make to your self.<br><br>If you brake your resolution than you dont ow any body anyy think you just ow your self an apolege.  <br><br>I you do brake your promis to you self than you can just stop wait a day or to and then you can continue with your own self promise.<br><br>I think New Year's resolutions are a good thing to spend your time on becusea when you acheav your gole you feel very prowd of your self.<br><br>So to sum it all down i think  New Year's resolutions are the best thing in the world.<br><br><br>( my sister New Year's resolution was to stop drinking water) </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>I think new year's resolutions are a good thing because it makes you become a better you. For example, if you want to eat healthier, you have the whole year to work on it, and of you don’t complete it you can do it next year. If you do do it you can set yourself new resolutions. Resolutions also make you positive if you complete them, e.g if you want to try to lose weight and you eventually do it, you’ll be happy that you completed it. Pretty much what a new year’s resolution is, is setting yourself one or two goals to complete for the year. I think people should make their resolutions challenging not just ‘I want to be healthy’ or ‘I want to exercise’, make it ‘I want to do a 10k run.'  Overall, I think it’s a positive and motivating thing to start off your year and I think they’re great.</div><div><br><br><br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>New year's resolutions<br><br><br>I think New year's resolutions are good as they keep structure to your life. This is because you can disband bad habits and start something new and good. Some of your resolutions can be fun instead, for instince it could be to reach a certain level in a game that you enjoy. They could also be on learning new skill or improving  an old skill. A resolution can also improve your health and fitness for example 'eat an apple a day' or 'go for a run a week'. You could also make an epidemic resolution which might improve your handwriting, spelling, descriptive language, presentation, or just learning different words and meaning.<br><br>On the other hand some New year's resolutions can make you tired for doing to much work, or excercise ext. you can also make you feel bad about yourself by looking back at things you are not good at or bad habits that you used to have. Some people make New year's resolutions that they cant make so they end up feeling bad about themselves or feeling like a failure.</div>]]></description>

It is a way to try and start out fresh and forget everything in the past. A new years resolution is about improving yourself as a person. You can also compare resolutions with each other which gives you a growth mindset when you change things up instead of keeping them the same. And if you want to you can you can make it into s cometition with your family to see who can do their resolution the quickest. It has also been going on for thousands of years, even the romans did it! It also encouredges people to live a healthier life style.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think new years resolutions are good because they give you a good objective to work hard at and eventually reach to make yourself a better person. On the other hand, I think new years resolutions are bad because it could make you feel bad and maybe you feel like a bad person by doing something you are not used to and not focusing on your normal habits and doing what you love. New years resolutions are usually things that people promise themselves they will complete before the end of the year.  This could have an impact on both ways as I have just explained but in my personal opinion I think that having a new years resolution is better than not having one. My personal one is to engage more in lessons and I said before new years resolutions make you a better person. I also love doing because it is fun to have something to work towards and when you complete it it gives you a huge sense of satisfaction.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>I belive that making new year reseltions is good becaus you have a achiveble goal for the rest of the year. You can feel more confident after you have made a resiltion. Finally you can work hard toghter with your friends and familly while having fun. <br><br>I have made three new year new year resiltions the first one is to do a run a week. This is possible to do and it will make me fitter stronger and more heathly. It will be fun and gives me a goal to focus on for the year. I will do it because when i do sport like rugby and football I will not get tired in the 10 minuets. Finally I can run with my friends and familly so i will work harder.<br><br>My second resiltion is to eat more fruit and veg. It will be heathly and beacuse I do alot of sport it will help me get stronger. I will feel very healthy when i am doing it so it may make me a bit more happy.<br>Finally it give me another goal to set for the rest of the year and something to work at.<br><br>My last resilotion is to inprove my accidemics. It is important for me to inprove my acidemics because they will help me get in to a new school and help me get a good job. Last year some of my accidemcs where good but not all so this year I will work with my friends and familly to help me get better resuts.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>I think new year resolutions are good because it's a healthy to start a new year. It also motivates you for the year ahead and forces you to be positive. Often new year resolutions are heathly and can often leave you as a healthier person. A new year resolution also gives you somthing to focus on so you don' t get bored. <br><br>However they can also be negative. They can create falss expectations and when they are not achived can leave you depressed. New year resolutions can also start peer pressure and can leave you in a bad metal state and make you lose friends.<br><br>Overall new year resolutions are a good beacause they genrenally make people feel better about themselves if the goal is achivable</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My Thoughts</div><div><br></div><div>I personally believe that new year's resolutions are useless. You may set yourself a task in May in which you will go to a gym 2 times a week.</div><div><br></div><div>I feel if you set resolutions you think that a year is a long enough time to do something bigger than possible. When you are not able to do what you believe you could in a year you feel sad and let down, what I believe you should do is you should throughout the year set a small task to do in a week.</div><div><br></div><div>Some people do dry January which is a good thing to do it is a task for one month only and you might realize you are fine without alcohol and go a few months.</div><div><br></div><blockquote>     </blockquote><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>New Year’s Resolutions</strong></div><div><br></div><div><em>I do think that New Year's Resolutions are a good thing. I think they are a good idea because they can help you lead you lead a healthier and better lifestyle. I do not agree with the people that are against New Year's Resolutions because they say that the Resolutions will make you focus on the bad things. But it is really just working on the things that you want to be better at. For an example, if I say my New Year’s Resolution is that want to be healthier, I am not saying that I am not already healthy. What I am saying is that I want to be healthier than I was before. Even though I was already healthy. I think New Year’s Resolutions can be a motivation for some people who don’t think they have a reason to stay committed.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I think new years  resolutions are not a waste of time. Firstly it’s the perfect time to set yourself some target(s) as you have a full year to achieve your goal. Resolutions should mostly be enjoyable and have a positive result at the end. New years  resolutions can make your life more social as you can aim to fulfill your goals with family and friends, this is obviously very fun. </div><div><br></div><div>Secondly new years  resolutions can change your life for the better. For example simple things like committing to few hours of exercise a week can add years onto your life. Doing exercise can give you a up to a 20% lower risk of breast cancer, a 30% lower risk of early death and up to a 50% lower risk of type 2 diabetes, and that's not all, there’s barely any disadvantages!</div><div><br></div><div>Overall achieving a goal you’ve set yourself is extremely satisfying and boosts your confidence massively, and just one new years resolution can change your entire life and greatly boost your life expectancy. Finally doing it with other people or by yourself either way it can be a an amazing fun thing to do.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>In my opinion, New Year’s resolutions are a waste of time and energy as hardly anyone achieves their target and break it in the first few weeks of the year. </em></div><div><br></div><div><em>Firstly, as soon as someone breaks their New Year’s resolution they feel like a failure for not having achieved their goals. When children don’t fulfil their New Year’s resolutions but their friends do, it makes them feel sad, defeated and jealous. This can harm friendships.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>Secondly, resolutions don't have to be made on New Year’s day itself. Instead they can be made on another special holiday occasion. When people make resolutions on the first day of the year, it puts a load of pressure to achieve it and consistently follow it throughout the year. But in reality, some people either forget their resolutions or not even bother.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>Finally, some people make some unrealistic resolutions which are impossible to achieve making them over ambitious targets. Children even set themselves too many targets, thus overloading themselves. This distracts them from more important things which they can achieve in life.<br><br>(177 words)</em></div>]]></description>
