She died in 1977 in Paris. She was one of the most renowned and influential opera singers of the 20th century. Many critics praised her bel canto technique, wide-ranging voice and dramatic interpretations. Her repertoire ranged from classical opera seria to the bel canto operas of donizetti, bellini and rossini and, further, to the works of verdi and puccini and, in her early career, to the music dramas of wagner. Her musical and dramatic talents led to her being hailed as La Divina.

He died in 495 BC at the age of 75. Pythagoras was an excellent Mathematician and was also interested in Music, Politics and Religion. He will be remembered for discovering the Pythagorean Theorem.

During the German occupation of Greece, the night of the 30th of May 1941, he together with Lakis Santas took down the nazist Germany flag from Acropolis. This was one of the first moves of the Greek resistance against nazi Germany. He was given the Lenin International award for peace by USSR in1962. He recently died in the 30th of March 2020.

A many-sided and vibrant personality, she played a leading role  in the struggle against the Colonel' s Junta in 1967- 1974 and was a great theatre and film actress of international fame. The parts she has portantyed have made cinema history. She was also a politician who left her mark on Greece culture.Melina Mercouri  died on 6 March 1994 at New York' s Memorial Hospital and funeral was held, with  Prime Minister honors, on March 1994.
