The houses in Santa Clarita resemble each other on a huge scale. The houses people live in look like their next door neighbor's. Since Levittown was building houses at a super fast rate, there was only a couple designs being used and recreated every single day. So, nowadays, small suburban towns like Stevenson Ranch are just carbon copies of three or four designs. They were curved in order to make the roads safer. This curvature can been seen all over Santa Clarita. All of the pictures on this paddle have one HUGE thing in common, they all contain at least one tree. This is a very obvious similarity between the two towns. Within the Levittown article, the miles and miles of trees is described.   While the reason for these trees is not explicitly stated, I would assume they were just for the overall presentation and look of their newly built town. However, within the ranch house article, this detail was talked about when discussing the design of the ranch house. By making a highest roof level, they are able to give the house an open floor plan and bring in sunlight throughout the whole house. In Santa Clarita, car ports are very popular. This picture was taken outside of my window and as you can see, these apartments don't have garages. Instead, they have carports.
