         <description><![CDATA[<div>The epidermis has 5 layers (superficial to deep):<br>*Stratum Corneum- Dead skin, and called Horny layers.<br>*Stratum Lucidum- Invisible under microscope, thicker layers, only in palms and heels of foot.<br>*Stratum Granulosum- The grainy-looking part of the epidermis.<br>*Stratum Spinosum- Biggest layer, and location of keratinocytes.<br>*Stratum Basale- Birth of new skin cells and location of melanocytes.<br>Source: Podko's Notes<br>Picture:</div>]]></description>
