The qualitative approach will be used to analyze the 50 comments in the regard of audience reception.
 
According to Fairclough(1992), discourse should be firstly studied from a micro and meso perspective, closely looking at their linguistic features. Then a contextual analysis should be applied to learn how audiences decode the original vlog basing on "individual connotations" and "cultural connotations" (O'Shaughnessy & Stadler, 2012), thus to induce their general understanding and attitude towards Li.

1. Informal and colloquial sentence pattern. 
2. Use the first person to tell thoughts and feelings. 
3. Casual and friendly tone.
4. Metaphors, allusions and humor are frequently used.
 
About the theme, the selected audience's comments can be divided into the following five types: 
1. Praise. Five aspects are mainly appreciated by the audience: Li's excellent craftsmanship, Li's independent and robust personality, Li's fairy-tale idyllic lifestyle, Li's filial piety to her grandmother, and the shooting and production techniques.
2. Gratitude. As some audience saying, Li's videos bring them spiritual comfort and show them an ideal lifestyle.
3. Personal experience. Some audience associate and share their own life stories.
4. Support. Some comments tell Li's past tough experience to convince other audience how strong and industrious Li is, then call on everyone to support her. 
5. Suggestion. Some viewers will make suggestions on the content and shooting of Li's video.
 
About the audience's attitude towards Li, audience regard Li's videos as "antidepressant drugs," "fairy tales," and "fantasy life," showing praise, support and gratitude to Li. From the collected texts, there is no comment appear to be critical or negative. Audience also do not show any lack of understanding or acceptance of Chinese elements in Li's vlogs.
