I absolutely loved the clip of the kids in the pool, working together to paddle to bring the floating board to the side. What a great way to build teamwork and solve a problem! As a special ed teacher, I was happy to see learning demonstrated in ways other than tests or writing assignments. In classrooms, students were actively participating in their learning. On the track and on stage, students were risk-takers and were inspired and challenged to be and do their best. Parents and students and teachers were together at school events. School-home connections were evident. Open-Minded could be seen during the celebrations of various cultures and communities. Balanced was highlighted by the yoga clip (showing all members of the community). Communicators could be seen in the Mission statement itself, through the use of art, Chinese, and English. The students exploring the sculptures showed Inquirers as they wrote and discussed. During a presentation by their peers, students could be see as principled while listening attentively.

A line I love: Anyone can be a learner or a mentor at any time. This view of always being a learner and being open to learning is essential, and developing the LP traits allow us to continuously engage as learners-no matter our age, role, or knowledge. WAB suggests we can be inquirers, reflective, caring, while being both knowledgeable and thinkers. I liked the presenter's comment state the central platform for learning in a Chinese based school is China itself. Promoting daily relationships with the dynamic of sharing learner/teacher with both students and teachers playing each role on a daily basis. Learning to work together is a critical skill needed throughout school and occupational experiences.
