I think west side story is a better interpretation because in WSS includes love and other things, but they have more stuff that was acted out in the original play that was in the movie. Like for example when Anita was supposed to tell Tony to meet her somewhere instead told him that she died as for the same thing that happened in the play. that scene never happened in warm bodies. -Amaya

Tucker amsbaugh, I think that West side story is a better interpretation of romeo and juliet. They tell the story better than the actual story of romeo and juliet and it is a lot easy to watch and I dont want to fall asleep during it. west side story there was always something going on but in the zombie movie it was all slow moving.

I think that the west side story told a better story because you can understand it more. The theme is also better because it was tragic. Adding things on in the story makes it better. -jabrayiah

I think West Side Story is a better interpretation of Romeo and Juliet because it tells the storyline of Romeo and Juliet, but not only does it tell the Romeo and Juliet storyline, but it tells its own storyline. Unlike Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story is describing problems in society not just two warring families! It shows our differences and that can make us hate each other but in the end we all are friends. I love how detailed West Side Story was! This is why I think West Side Story is a better interpretation of Romeo and Juliet.

Out of the two films, Warm Bodies and West Side Story, Warm Bodies is (in my opinion) a better interpretation because it shows multiple forms of love and an extreme effect of love by bringing back the zombies from being dead. Although it doesn't show tragedy, it shows Romeo and Juliet in a new way and how actual opposites compared to two racist\territorial gangs.

I think the West side story is a best interpretation of Romeo and Juliet because there's two people that are on two sides of enemies and they fall in love at first sight just like in Romeo and Juliet. West side story relates to the story of Romeo and Juliet better than Warm bodies. -Azera

I feel that West Side Story is a better interpretation than Warm Bodies. It stays more faithful to the original play and it really gets the point across. While Warm Bodies gets its message that love conquers all, I feel that WSS is more of a cautionary tale. It really tells the story we've heard over and over again (in this case, racism) and it really puts it in the spotlight, and even shows how pointless it is to be prejudiced against someone just because they look or sound different. I feel that without tragedy, the message of love against prejudice wouldn't be heard.
