"On March 16, 2021, a series of mass shootings occurred at three massage spas in the metropolitan area of Atlanta, Georgia. Eight people were killed, six of whom were Asian women, and one victim was critically wounded."

These shows how still to this day, people are still affected and targeted by racists. Many still fear about their lives because the target against Asians.

"April 6, 2021, New York City police report 36 anti-Asian hate crimes motivated by the victim’s race. Three other crimes involving an Asian victim were motivated by COVID-19, which brings the total to 39."

This showed how anti-Asian hate crimes have risen due to the effects of COVID.

These all show the historical events that have affected many Asian immigrants. Many of these explained the many challenging facts that were purposely put upon immigrants. It is this that much of the history is sometimes ignored and not talked about. This is because the cases were hidden behind Asians being the model minority.
