Lesson goals:

• Can describe natural surroundings using related vocabulary in English.

• Can participate in simple conversations about nature and observations.

• Builds communicative competence through collaborative outdoor activities.

• Sit in a circle. Each student says three statements about themselves in English – two that are true and one that is false.

• The rest of the group guesses which statement is the lie.

Nature Scavenger Hunt (25 mins)

• Divide the class into Group A and Group B, each with a themed checklist.

• Go over the scavenger hunt checklists together and ensure all students understand the vocabulary.

• Students work in pairs or small groups to explore and find the listed items.

• They must speak in English to describe what they find and check items off their list.

• Hand out clipboards, checklists, and optional sketchbooks.

Group Sharing

• Pair up with another group and explain what they found:
  “We found a smooth rock under a tree. It was grey and cold.”

• Practice describing location, color, texture, and feelings using full sentences.

B: Story Circle

• Sit in a circle.

• One student starts a sentence about their lake adventure. Each student adds one sentence to continue the story using what they experienced.
  “Today we went to the lake. I found a feather under a big tree…”
