It was already week ninth but it seems like we have a lot more time left. We all agreed that this was the anxiety filled week where we have a lot going on. Finals coming up and papers are coming to due. The rest of the group met for lunch in person, but I was back home for the weekend so I joined them from my phone. We talked about the discussion forum question. We all agreed that patience is the key when discussing what monolingual students need to know about bilingual/multilingual students. Everyone agreed that fluency requires practice, and everyone shared their own experience of obtaining fluency. Jayne and Clavel talked about thinking in a different language and then translating it. we discussed about bilingual and multilingual students and shared examples, such as need more time to think of what do we want to say , about the words in our L1 that don´t have translation in english and so on,. Clavel, Hector, Jayne and I all met together for lunch and it was really nice! It was a shame that Rojina couldn't come tho. But it was really good to have some real social interaction and to talk about otehr stuff than class!
 We shared how challenging it was to come here with all the flights and visa problems, but also on how we're all leaving soon. We shared our experiences at K so far and our plans for summer, and the sad part we are leaving soon. After our lunch, we discussed the topic of being multilingual, bilingual, and monolingual. Everyone shared their views and experiences. Even though Rogina couldn't be there, we were able to share many moments throughout our time at K frrom the begining to the end and how little by little we approach the last days on campus. I feel really nostagic personally.
