         <description><![CDATA[<div>Despite the overwhelming odds against him, Pi finds the strength to continue fighting for his life. Pi starts to try to just exist. He is no longer sticking to his faith as much as he did before, and that is why he needs to kill and eat the <mark>fish, a symbol of his changing morals(appositive).</mark> This action was extreme for him and it caused him lots of emotion. Pi realized he needed to continue living<mark>; therefore,(semicolon; transition comma)</mark> the only way to keep existing was to make sure that the" flying fish was dead" (84).  <mark>Pi, losing touch with his faith (absolute)</mark>, takes another step away from living to existing as he no longer caters to his own ethics and starts to focus solely on his basic necessities to survive.<br><br></div>]]></description>
