The book that I read this month is called The Life of Helen Keller. This book is about a girl named Helen who lost her hearing and sight to the scarlet fever at nineteen months old (a year and seven months old). At almost seven years old Helen's teacher Annie Sullivan can to teach her. Annie used manual language to teach Helen. Helen's first word was d-o-l-l doll. Helen liked this finger play but she didn't truly understand it was a language for the blind and deaf. I rate this book 5 stars because I like using sign language and I would recommend this book to anyone is is interested in learning sign language.

The book that I read this week is called The Cat Who Loved Mozart. This book is about a girl named Jennifer. Jennifer wants to be a pianist. One day she finds a cat on the streets and takes it home. The cat sits with her while she plays piano each day and one day she was on stage with her cat and ever since their were best friends. The reason that I read this book is because my librarian suggested it to me. I will rate this book a 5 stars because I really like the piano and because Jennifer had a growth mindset.
