In France there are many climates, but the majority of the country has a temperate maritime climate which means it is mild in winter, pretty warm in summer and rainfall is spread throughout the year. However, other parts have different climates: SOUTH AND SOUTH WEST: Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers. EASTERN PART OF THE COASTAL AREA: The sunniest part of France with more than 320 hours of sunshine in July. NORTH: End of September is the start of autumn SOUTH: temperatures remain pleasant at the end of September. I am focusing on the maritime climate of France. This climate can help society because mild winters mean that people can grow crops during the winter, which is a good thing for the people because it allows them to have a food surplus during the winter.

( Some are from French Guiana ) In France, the most important natural resource is coal because you create energy out of it. Coal is also important for France because it can be used as fuel, energy ( as said already), and little fires to keep warm. But coal can also hurt society because it is nonrenewable and if people breathe in the fumes coming out of coal, they can get sick or even die. Also, since coal is a fossil fuel, it can produce greenhouse gas, and that can lead to global warming.

People in France import and export goods through ships and boats. There are 34 international airports, and 27 local ones. People also spread information from place to place by mostly listening to the radio, but sometimes also use the internet. Finally, there are a total of 66 sea ports in France! That also means that France has an advantage of trading with other countries, and that the ships can handle more cargo than other countries. France's largest port is the Port of Marseille, but France has other major ports as well: Nice Cruise Port, Port of Calais, Port of Toulon, Port of Caen, Port of Fos, Port of Dieppe, Port of Roscoff, and finally St. Malo Port.
