Kartlav vokser bare en til to millimeter på et helt år! Musøre regnes som det minste treet i Norge. Og musøre er det eneste treet som vokser på Svalbard. Reinen har brede klover sånn at når den går i snøen synker den ikke så dypt. Reinen har brede klover for at den ikke skal synke så langt ned i snøen. På vinteren må reinen bruke klovene sine til å grave ned i snøen får å få tak i lav som den liker å spise. 
Lav:
Skorpelav sitter godt fast på steiner og fjell og de er nesten overalt. Kartlav har fått navnet sitt av at den som oftest ligner på land! Trådlav er også veldig kult og morsomt å bruke som liksom skjegg.
Blomster:
Noen blomster har småe hår for å holde varmen når det blir kaldere. Og andre blomster holder seg sammen i noen gjenger får at de kan holde hverandre varme som noen dyr bruker å gjøre.
