As a result majority of students give more priority to tuition classes. This is seen more among advanced level students .The government should look for additional classes during school time and take legal actions for it.

2).Making the school an attractive place.

School with low attendance should be identified and those schools should be developed .We can build new laboratory , library , smart class rooms. In addition new modern devices can be used for learning process .And also physical environment around the school premise can be arranged very beautifully. Then children are more interested in coming because it is more attractive and effective .That means it is help to make suitable environment for education .

3). Breaking away from monotonous school education.

We know a monotonous education system has been implementing in schools for a long time. So this increase the unwillingness of students to study in schools. Therefore , government can introduce interesting and timely subjects. At the same time term tests and other exams can be decreased .Due to excessive examinations the child is very tired and allowed to reduce their school attendance .And also government can make new regulations to apply different types of extra curricular activities for learning process. I think it is help to encourage school attendance .Knowledge should be imparted through practical methods and not limited to textbooks.

I think these three suggestions can be adopted by the Sri Lankan government to encourage school attendance .
