         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The equation means that after traveling through 3 feet of clay piping, the pollution level will be down by 17.<br><br>2.  Don't even know what this one wants. Isn't anything times 0 just 0 or did I read the problem wrong?<br><br>3. For the first part, I think this type of problem is just setting x equal to something? So if the base f = 5x squared and we need it to equal 2 than wouldn't you plug in whatever you need to multiply 5x squared by to get 2. (which I think is either 2.5x squared or 10x squared.)
