It is important to me to be educated on this topic so I can help myself or those around me. Recognizing the early signs and symptoms can make a significant difference.

Journaling has provided me a place to process what I'm going through. I believe it could be a great tool for postpartum moms to express themselves.

I chose this image because it captures the various aspects of postpartum depression. In the image, a mother is holding and caring for her baby but disregarding herself like food or phone calls. This highlights how postpartum depression can make mothers feel disconnected from their own selves. It emphasizes how its not just their mental health that gets forgotten about but also their physical health.

By incorporating screen-like features in toys, it is just the same as handing your baby your phone to play with. While the intention may be for learning, it reinforces early reliance on screens.
