by:Hannah Hopkins
The Earth is the best planet. It is the only planet that has water and perfect temperature. If Earth was closer to the sun it would be to hot, if Earth was farther away from the sun it would be to cold.Earth is the third planet from the sun.
which means if earth would of been the second of the fourth planets from the sun, we might of not survived. Our planet is the only planet that has living things such as, humans, animals, and plants. Also due to the sun's energy, water is cleaned and redistributed around earth constantly through the water cycle.Earth has one moon. The length of Earths rotation is 24 hours(23 hours 56 min) or one day. The length of Earths revolution is 365 day. the hottest temp is 58°c(136°f) the coldest temp is -88°c(-126°f).

Pluto not a planet why ill tell you. well, Pluto is way to small and Pluto is two thirds the size of our moon and it has a weird stretched out orbit. Since Pluto is not a planet it is called a Dwarf planet. This dwarf planet had three moons.Pluto overlaps Neptune's path. mostly made of ice and rock it also takes 248 earth years to travel around the sun. now Pluto is classified as a Dwarf planet .

The four inner planets are Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars. Mercury is the smallest, fastest, and the closest planet to the sun. it has the oldest surface and the wildest temperature changes .The sun would look much bigger than it is from earth. To the fact it has no atmosphere ,no moons,no one can visit the planet it is to hot.it is rocky . Venus is the second planet from the sun it has no moons high winds and is made mostly out of carbon dioxide and rock .you cant step outside also it would be the last place you wanna be. Water can be boiled away thick and poisonous. Rotates other detraction from Earth. Earth is rocky is water earth is a lot of things. It is know as know the only life with life on it. it is rocky and has land and water.Mars is a red planet and is the fourth planet from the sun. mostly made of carbon dioxide.

Jupiter has 63 moons its composition is mostly hydrogen and helium gases and it has rings. Saturn has rings 53 moons and made of hydrogen and helium gases. Uranus has 27 moons has rings mostly made of hydrogen and helium gasses. Neptune has 13 moons made of hydrogen and helium gases and it has rings.

by:Hannah Hopkins

The Sun is the biggest star we can see.The sun is 93 million miles away. In space, that is just around the corner.our sun is a average star scientists have found many like it. The sun contains more then 99% of all material in the solar system. The sun is a very hot ball of gas, it has a core temperature of more then 28,080,000°f(15,600,000°C). Our sun is a big lab for scientist to learn more about it. If the sun was farther away it would look like any star in the sky. But if so, life as we know it could not exist on earth. People , animals, and plants all depend to the sun.

By:Hannah Hopkins

Asteroids are smaller then dwarf planets. They are made up of junk in space such as ice, rocks, and medal. They also orbit the sun.Asteroids range in size from 1000km(600 miles) across to as small as a grain of sand. only about 50,000 Asteroids have been studied. Asteroids are made from the Asteroid belt, the Asteroid is in between Mars and Jupiter. Some Asteroids traveled outside of the main Asteroid belt.Asteroids orbits between Mars and Earth. Some people suggest that Asteroids are of lost pieces of planets.Others think that Asteroids are simply left-over material from the large objects crashed into each other. So far, no ideas has been proven or rejected.

Other moons like Enceladus, Eurpoa, and Io all are moons with crazy names.
