4 years after being elected pope leo, was threatened by a mob of relatives and predecessors. Pope Adrian attempted to blind and cut out pope Leo's touge. Pope leo managed to avoid any physical danger and to find feuge with Charlemagne. In 800 pope leo made Calamange the Holy King.
