My goals for this term are to:

After the term, it seems that I reached all of my goals. Aside from some 555s that I may have failed, I am still proud of myself for accomplishing the goals I set.

I can constantly check if I will be able to get an A in the term if I calculate my test scores and see how much points I need left to achieve my goal. I can also count how many times I have participated in class.

The most difficult and confusing task I encountered in Math this term were imaginary numbers. I consider myself to be a logical person, but this lesson really boggled me because of how confusing it was. After reviewing more about the topic and seeing more examples though, I quickly knew what to make of this lesson.

A misconception I had this term was related to inequalities. I remember seeing a question in the long test that looked a bit like this:

find the solution set of x

2x^2 + 3x > 5

Because I didn't review, my solution to this dilemma was to substitute x with numbers, and find the zeroes through trial and error. I did not know what to do here, but after passing my paper, I suddenly realized what the solution was for this question. I was supposed to write the equation as

2x^2 + 3x - 5 = 0

and then find the zeroes of the equation. Then, use those zeroes to find when 2x^2 + 3x is greater than 5.

The Math long test is my proudest work. Even though I got -2 in my original score (due to my previous misconception), I still got perfect because of the retest. I put in quite a lot of effort in this test, since I knew it would be a big part of my final grade. I am glad that it came out good.

Although there weren't any collaborative or group projects this term, I still somehow helped my classmates with their math studies. Some examples are Dellan, Simon, Dane, and Silva, who approach me whenever they need help with something regarding the lesson.
