Since Virginia was considered to be apart of the southern colonies, the mountain ranges played a key part in the colony's economy and also helped shape the economy. Virginia also had the "The Great Wagon Road" running through it which was great for trade production and moving trade items along. Next, because of its amazing climate the people of England were very attracted to those temperatures causing a lot of them to come over which also helps with business. Last, the 4 main rivers made incredibly fertile soil which helped the growth of their mos valued crop tobacco.
