If you feel that you are in need of food parcels, then, in the first instance, please contact Mrs Ainscough or Miss Wood in

confidence and they will help support you in accessing healthy meals to meet the needs of your family.

Children should dismount at the school gates and walk their bike or scooter to the appropriate area.

We would also like to remind parents and carers that any bikes or scooters brought onto school grounds are done so at your own risk. Bikes and scooters left on school property are not the responsibility of the school and we cannot accept liability for loss or damage.

From colourful characters to detailed scenes, each egg was wonderfully unique and truly showcased the children’s artistic talents. We could see the pride in their faces as they came into school with them - and rightly so! 🌟

A huge well done to all the children for their hard work and fantastic ideas 👏😊 And of course, a big thank you to parents and families for supporting the children with their creations. Your encouragement and teamwork really shone through.

The final display was nothing short of sp’egg’tacular! 🐣🥚💛

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children dazzled us with their bright, creative and beautifully decorated Easter bonnets. From fluffy chicks to hopping bunnies, colourful flowers to sparkly ribbons, every bonnet was a wonderful celebration of springtime fun and imagination! 🌸🌈✨

The children were so proud as they paraded around, showing off their amazing creations and it was clear how much effort had gone into each and every design. A huge well done to all the children for their confidence, creativity and big smiles! 👒😊💛

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to parents and families for supporting the children with their bonnets at home and for showing your support and joining us as a school for the parade.

Your time, creativity and enthusiasm helped make the parade truly special. 🏠💐

It was a joyful event full of laughter, colour and community spirit - just the way we love to end our spring term! 🌼💛🐰

I would like to remind families that if they are choosing to take a holiday during term time that they ensure that they notify school that they are absent with the genuine reason for absence. It is important that we know this for safeguarding matters.

What a truly lovely week we have had in school! Our Year 1 and Year 2 children enjoyed a fantastic trip to Blackpool Zoo, where they had an amazing time seeing all the animals. They were super grown up throughout the whole day and were an absolute joy to represent our school.

We’ve also had so much Easter fun this week, from our brilliant Easter bonnet parade to the wonderfully creative egg‑decorating competition. It has been a week full of smiles, imagination and celebration.

As I come to the end of my term  at Leigh St Peter’s, I would like to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful staff, children, and families and governors.

It has been an absolute privilege to be part of such a caring, dedicated, and inspiring school community. I am incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and commitment shown every day by our staff, who work tirelessly to provide the very best for our children. To the children, thank you for your enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy, you are the heart of this school, and it has been a pleasure to watch you grow and succeed. And to our families, thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership; it truly makes a difference.

Leigh St Peter’s is a very special place, and I will always look back on my time here with great fondness and pride. Thank you all for the memories, the achievements, and the sense of community that makes this school so unique.
