Disneyland Passholder

In January 2024, I became a Disneyland Passholder with my mom. I had not been a passholder since I was younger than 3. This was a very exciting moment for me in 2024. I have been to Disneyland maybe once a year the past several years before getting a pass. This was because one of my best friends moms works there so I would go with my best friend. Since becoming a passholder, I have been able to go quite a number of times with my mom and my friend. My mom and I actually just renewed our passes this week.

I am a teenager!!

On March 16, 2024, I became a teenager!! I would say this is a pretty memorable day in 2024. 13 years old is a pretty significant birthday because it is the beginning of adolescent years. I celebrated my birthday going to Disneyland and also spending time with family and friends. Teenage years are different because you are not a little kid anymore but yet you are not an adult yet either. You are in this in between ground that is kind of cool and also confusing as you navigate through life and go into junior high. I am now almost 14 years old.

Made a New Friend

In fall of 2024, I made a new friend. Coming to CVA from a public school, I did not know anyone here. At my public school, I knew a lot of people there. It was a very big change to come to a school where I knew absolutely nobody. This was very nerve wrecking, but I hoped that eventually I would make a new friend. My first year here at CVA, I was very shy, nervous and timid so I didn't really make any new friends. I had classmates and people I enjoyed seeing every day and seeing in the chats, but I was still a bit too nervous to really go to any events or field trips. This year I decided to go to some events and a field trip, which is where I met a new friend. This was a memorable moment for me in 2024 and at my new school.

Adopted 2 New Dogs

In 2024, we adopted 2 new dogs. One was in June and the other was in October. The first one we adopted was a Chihuahua/Pug also known as a Chug, from the OC Animal Shelter. She is a golden/copper brown color, and she loves to be held. She is just a little love bug. We named her Charlie or as my mom calls her, Charlie Brown. The second dog we adopted happened out of nowhere and was unexpected. A customer at my mom's work found him as he and his two kids were riding their bikes to my mom's Starbucks location. This customer and his two daughters found the puppy off to the side of the road and took it to my mom's work to get him water and to figure out what to do. My mom gave the puppy water and then gave the customer all the resources to try to find the owner but came up empty. So basically, my mom adopted the puppy and thats how we got him. He is a Corgi/Chihuahua and his name is now Fry.

I got a Canon Camera

On March 16, 2024, for my birthday, I got a Canon camera. I was so excited about this! I love to take pictures of nature, sea life and flowers. Up until getting the Canon camera, I only ever took pictures on my phone. I also used to draw a lot of flowers before getting into taking pictures of flowers. Photography has become a hobby or interest of mine that I enjoy doing. I have taken my camera to beaches, parks, arboretums, botanical gardens, and hikes. I did help take pictures of someone for their senior pictures, but I don't usually take pictures of people. I am more comfortable with taking pictures of nature and flowers and sunsets and stuff. I really look forward to taking more pictures in 2025 with my Canon and maybe even taking photography class in high school.
