A 14 year old girl named Makayla Skjerva came home from school last month complaining of her neck hurting but her parents didn't think much of it. Then it progressed to body aches, a fever, and a rash. Her school reported that measles exposure was found in the school gym. Soon after she was diagnosed with measles and then her health rapidly declined.

There was a shooting and a vehicle ramming attack on a synagogue in Michigan that is being seen as a targeted act of violence toward the Jewish community. Nobody inside the synagogue was injured, but a security guard was struck by the attackers car, but is expected to fully recover.

Four US soldiers are dead after the refueling aircraft crashed. There were six crew members and only four have been confirmed as dead. It crashed at about 2 PM and the other plane that was involved landed safely. This was friendly air space in western Iraq. How this crash happened is under investigation and identities are being kept private until family members are informed.

Two Florida teens who are being held without bond for trying to kill a classmate for a "blood ritual" were seen laughing as they were taken to jail. Isabelle Valdez (15) and Lois Lippert (14) were both students at Lake Brantley High. The two were arrested after the police force got an anonymous tip about their murder plot. Both were charged as adults and charged with premeditated murder.

2 teens in Florida have been arrested for planing on killing a classmate and using it for a "blood ritual". Isabella Valdez and Lois Lippert were arrested in Janurary when the police got a report of a murder plot. They were arrested as adults and are in prison now. When the police searched in Valdez's backpack they found a knife and planned to slice his throat then stab him in the back in the bathroom. Lippert was reported to have supplied materials and to have drawn graphic sketches of how it would look. While in the car after they were arrested, they were talking about how this was a "bonding expirence" and how they were going to put on makeup for the mugshot but forgot.

The two planes reported an incident with the other plane, which landed safely. The plane went down in the friendly airspace of western Iraq. The crash of the refueling tanker is currently being treated as a retrieval and rescue mission.

Yesterday, Mohamad Jalloh opened fire at Virginia's Old Dominion University. Jalloh walked into the ROTC classroom shooting the instructor several times. Not long after, several cadets stepped in, subduing and rendering Jalloh "no longer alive". Evans, the FBI special agent in charge, would not go into detail as to how the suspected shooter was killed, but said he was not shot. "They basically were able to terminate the threat," she said. Jalloh was previously convicted in 2016 of attempting to provide material support to the Islamic militant group ISIS and sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2017. He was released in December 2024, according to Bureau of Prisons records.
