         <description><![CDATA[<div>Scenario: A class vice-chairperson was bullied by her classmates as she keep complaining to teachers about their wrongdoings. Her classmates bullied her online and verbally. Victim's mom was angry, wrote a long letter to FT and threatened to report the matter to police and MOE. School delay the investigation and consequences as exams are coming, mom not happy with slow follow up and eventually reported to police.<br><br>Appropriate action:<br>1. Form teacher alert the school leaders, year head and DM team and did not handle the matter by herself as she want to report to higher authorities.<br>2. FT addressed matter immediately by highlighting consequences of bullying classmates and emphasizing that no whatsapp grp shud exist without teachers around.<br>3. Statements from bullies were taken immediately.<br>4. Sending victim to counselling.<br><br>What shud be done:<br>1. Bonding session for class to instill value of respect for each other.<br>2. Timely update to the mom on sch follow up actions and consequences that will be carried out<br>3. CCE lessons: teaching students how to use social media and whatsapp responsibly and respectfully</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Student was angrily kicking his table and the door in response to some of his classmates’ remarks. When teacher shouted at him to stop, he left the class causing a confusion. Teacher got student leader to follow the classmate to keep an eye on him while addressing the issue in class. Triggered by classmates' comments, and teacher's persistence on homework submission despite prior warning by another teacher that the student was unsettled that day. Student made malicious responses and showed signs of aggression (punching of inanimate objects).          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Scenario:</strong> The boy went to the toilet after being given permission. While the boy was walking back, he said hi and distract some students from another class. The teacher scolded the boy for disrupting his class. After the boy walked back, the teacher followed him all the way back to the classroom and continued telling him off. After being told off, the boy was very agitated and wanted to hit the teacher. The classmates held him back, and tried to calm him down<br><br><strong>Intervention</strong>: I attempted to calm the boy down and stop the boy from being rash. Afterwards, the teacher told the boy that they will speak after class.<br><br>After class, I spoke to the boy, and the boy mentioned that he felt like the teacher who scolded him was targeting him. Subsequent actions including informing the form teacher and my co-operating teacher. The boy calmed down after counselling from both teachers and apologised to the teacher, and wrote a reflection statement.<br><br><strong>Context</strong>: One of my first solo lessons in practicum T.T<br><br><strong>Appropriate</strong>: Talking to the student after he cooled down (after lesson)<br><br>AFI: More reflective questions (e.g. how would you feel if you are the teacher, what is the effect of your actions?)<br><br><strong>Inappropriate</strong>: The teacher overreacted by following the boy back to my class.<br><br>AFI: Can meet the affected student after lesson instead.</div>]]></description>
