A teacher that made a difference in my education was actually a substitute English teacher for my English class in middle school. He filled in for the rest of the year for my original teacher. I remembered him because he challenged me to do better. This was important because he taught me to look at challenges with a different perspective.

A teacher that had a big impact on my education was my high school history teacher. He always came to class with a positive attitude and would try to connect with students as much as possibles. He was always caring and understood any problems I had and would give me the best advice.

In high school, my statistics teacher was also my baseball coach.

He was flexible in both roles, truly wanting to understand and find the best way to work with students.

Along with that, he was adaptable. Growing up in a bit of a rough neighborhood, our school had issues in and out of the classroom. He would find ways to keep things current and was able to meet us where we were at.

Finally, he was teachable himself. He wanted to learn about best practices in the classroom and on the field. He had a genuine investment in wanting to know and learn from us as well.

My ceramics teacher

My high school ceramics teacher was very influential to me because she cared about her students a lot. My teacher would check in with us a lot individually about how life was going. When building assignments, she gave us a lot of creative freedom to make projects that interested us. She also pushed me a lot creatively in the classroom to push my limits which helped me in other parts of life as well. I learned a lot about how I would want to treat my future students based off of her positive environment.

My physics teacher was always positive and had something new to bring to the classroom. She always tried to have a good relationship with you and made class fun, she wanted to see you succeed and told you the potential she saw in you. She was always willing to give extra help in class and after. She also cared about how you were outside of the classroom and always showed her support for your extra curricular activities.

My 9th Grade English Teacher

My ninth grade english teacher genuinely inspired me to become a teacher. She was genuinely kind, considerate, thoughtful, supportive, and extremely motivational. I was going through a rough patch my freshman year. I was completely unmotivated to do school work and had a lot of difficulties going on. She was the first teacher who genuinely showed she cared. She pulled me aside and told me that I was such a smart student and great kid, but I just didn't apply myself and she didn't understand why. I opened up a little bit and she told me that if I ever needed anyone her door was always open and that I could always go to her. She gave me a lot of advice, boosted my confidence, and even helped me out mentally. She motivated me to believe in myself and do my best. I want to be like her. She is the reason I want to teach. We need more teachers that are there 100% for the students and to ensure they can get the help they need. She was a big advocate on student's mental health and I believe that is one of the most important factors in a child's life.

My 5th Grade Writing Teacher

When I was in the 5th grade, I had a writing teacher named Mr. Del Rosario. Mr. D was quiet, and awkwardly funny. He showed me how to creatively write, and encouraged me to entire a few different writing contests. He attended many of my softball games, and grew to become a great role model. Some of the qualities he had that made him so special was that he cared, and wanted to make kids enjoy writing, even if they weren't good at it. He listened well, and was the highlight of my day. After the 5th grade, he would stay in touch with me, and would continue to give me writing tips via email. Mr. D passed away in 2018. He will forever hold a special place in my heart, and will be one of the main reasons I become an educator. So maybe one day, I can inspire a student to write like he did for me.

Math Teacher

Mr. D in high school was a great educator. He was a Christian like myself so we had many things in common. Apart from just teaching math, he would often talk about the things that were bothering me or us outside of the classroom. He would offer extra classes on Saturday's to ensure we were ready to take the final exams. There was a day when I had a really bad tooth ache and Mr. D offered to pray for me.

I used to study in a small countryside school. Usually, we do not have many role models, just normal workers, and housewives. The teachers were superheroes, they have studied, which are in this community are almost impossible.

This was my first year in a public school, so I was scared. This teacher was patient, kind, calm and funny. She made me feel like I was important in the class, and showed me by making sure I had someone to be my friend on day one. This teacher was also just so funny, and never took anything too serious, which made me so comfotable. I ended up student teaching with her in 2019 as a sophmore in college. It is cool to see it come full circle.

My teacher allowed us to interpret texts in our own way, even sometimes touching on controversial issues. He was able to create a safe space for us, to ask questions and inquire about things we did not understand. He also wrote a letter of recommendation for when I applied to my previous school, which I believed helped greatly in my application process. His class was a safe space that allowed us to be ourselves, something I felt that he made sure was possible for us. Him and his experiences were a driving factor in making us all feel heard, at least I would like to think that.

My middle school teacher of physics whose major was biology but she was hired in the very beginning of the school foundation year, and the school couldn't find a physics teacher. She volunteered and was hired. But the main reason she was awsome is that she taught like a university professor, we felt like adult students taking notes and writing thesis on a smaller level.

This guy was something else. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name, but this individual impacted the way I learned history. He was very energetic, he did not teach from a book, in fact he taught the class without any materials, he was very hands on, and very passionate. He made me think history differently by questioning it and by examining multiple sources in which an event took place.

My 8th-grade science teacher. She was creative in teaching, approachable, helpful to every student even outside the classroom, strict and honest, and punctual in everything. I have learned a lot from her and inspired to become a science teacher like her.

One teacher that truly inspired me to pursue education as a career path was my junior college government professor. He made his job not seem like a job. He loved what he did and always seemed to be happy. His energy was contagious and influential. This made me want to one day impact students in a positive way as well. -Desi.

In my graduation period i came across to a teacher of good personality. In the first year i had a negative thinking about him. He had his own style of talking that i thought, he is arrogant but later i knew that he is not an empathetic person. He believes in reality other than fiction. He is strict yet legit in his words that i liked the most in him. He taught us literary criticism. He style of teaching is so good. I was inspired from his virtue.

Roger, he is a sweetie pie I met from UCI. His positive energy always effects the whole class and encourage US a lot. It would be my Economics teacher in college. He is professional in the field, knowing every theory and detailed history behind models. Besides, he is also really passionate about Econ. The first time I thought about taking the path of teaching was when I met my Russian language and literature teacher. It was way back in 2010 - a year that (in retrospect) was pivotal for me. Her name was Marina Alekseevna Radko - not only an amazing mentor, but also a magnificent person. She knew how to inspire and surrounded with care and attention. In addition, she was moderately strict and demanding. Her manner of communication conveyed literacy and erudition - she knew a lot and had visited many places. Her ability to find a common language with everyone was amazing and energizing. Thanks to lessons with her, I fell in love with literature and, in addition, I passed the state exam in the Russian language (being not Russian) with the highest possible score. To this day, I admire this person and that is why I am writing this text now, studying for a master's degree in teaching, to educate and inspire the next generation. Thank you for your attention.
