After attending Holy Family School for 9 years with the same 35 classmates, you could say I was ready to transition to a new school. This quote has stood out to me because of it's blatant discussion of church. I resonated with this quote because it is something I struggle with a lot. The idea that we have to find God is very hard for me because I don't think I have found him. I like the idea that he comes to us in different forms. "Be Alright" by Khelani is the song I think of after reading quotes by Merton. I relate to his attitude towards faith because it is very unsure and wary. He talks about how he does not know his future but that could be the best way to go through life because it is the wondering that makes religion worthwhile. This song is amazing but it also discusses the idea that having a positive attitude will result in having a positive day. This is very important to me and something I learned only recently.
