Fasting lipids:
- High density lipoproteins, low density lipoprotein: for blood tests to keep a normal level
Thyroid function:
- under-active or overactive thyroid function: contributes to Mr Benga's weight
- cholesterol and low density lipoproteins are high which contributes to his heart condition
- eating foods which are rich or high in cholesterol: contributes to his level of low density lipoproteins
- checking full blood counts

Echocardiogram:
- ultrasound of the chest used to look for the cause of abnormal heart sounds: abnormal heart rhythms,
- look at the heart muscle: how the heart copes with high blood pressure etc.

- can examine the heart from different angles
- look for blood clots and tumours inside the heart
- To identify and monitor reduce blood flow to muscle of heart Chest X-ray (CXR): 
- calcium build up can be seen in a chest X-ray: makes heart attacks more likely 
- fluid in or around lungs 
- issues with blood vessels 
Repeat ECG: 
- compare to baseline and his stats when Mr Benga first came into the hospital 
- Monitoring any changes: if his heart is getting better/worse
