         <description><![CDATA[<div>Whenever the Nimiipuu people (they were called that) chose a new leader they'd have a council choose based on their skills and knowledge.<br><br>Nimiipuu people had great respect for nature and its resources. They'd keep check of fishing and protected the land.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nimiipuu people created specific weapons for certain tasks, like arrows without bone or stone tips. They also made leather shields. These things could be used for battle or hunting.<br><br>They created a device called a atlatls that launched spears further than by hand. And with such force it could penetrate chain mail armor!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nimiipuu people used, as stated before, what they could use as they respected nature. They'd use water sources for fishing and, well, a place a drink.<br><br>They did burn forests but only for the sake of planting and harvesting crops. They used the wood for tools of course. And for weapons which were used for battle and hunting for food.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After the Nez Perce War of 1877, Chief Joseph surrendered to the U.S. government and wanted to make deals with them. <br><br>The group was sent to the Colville  Indian Reservation, the last bit of their homeland.<br><br>They did experience great assimilation after this though. They were forced to convert to Christianity and sent to white schools in order for them to join the white culture.</div>]]></description>
