<title>Common Law and Civil Law share some similarities, but mostly differences. These types of law are similar because they both require a judge, legislative party, or ruler, to make the final decision in the cases. They both take place inside a court room. Common Law and Civil Law differ in many ways. Civil Law is more common in the world today. This type of law consists of a ruler or legislative body to create rules to govern. Common Law is based on precedent or case law. In this type of law, the laws originate from the decisions of the court, rather than by one ruler.</title>
