1.       It requires constant monitoring of students which is time consuming and would require resources that could be better used elsewhere
2.       It would inadvertently lead to spying on staff. This is an invasion of privacy.
3.       Teachers may feel that all the paperwork and consent forms to be filled out would be tedious. It may discourage them from using social media for collaboration etc
4.       The policy is not clear on what are the consequences of infringement of rules.

2. It facilitates communication and collaboration.
3. It greatly improves student engagement and enhances learning, therefore promoting learner autonomy.
4. Social Media policy also facilitates students of differentiated learning.
5. Information can be easily disseminated to parents and students.
