         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cons of the Social Media Policy:<br><br><br></div><div>1.       It requires constant monitoring of students which is time consuming and would require resources that could be better used elsewhere</div><div>2.       It would inadvertently lead to spying on staff. This is an invasion of privacy.</div><div>3.       Teachers may feel that all the paperwork and consent forms to be filled out would be tedious. It may discourage them from using social media for collaboration etc</div><div>4.       The policy is not clear on what are the consequences of infringement of rules.<br><br></div>]]></description>

The Ministry has a detailed policy on Social Media in which they support schools at the operational level.<br>For example: Student Support Services for students who misuse social media.<br>2. It facilitates communication and collaboration.<br>3. It greatly improves student engagement and enhances learning, therefore promoting learner autonomy.<br>4. Social Media policy also facilitates students of differentiated learning.<br>5. Information can be easily disseminated to parents and students.<br><br></div>]]></description>
