Congress has created two other Article III courts. They are the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
The Court of International Trade- The Court of International Trade now has nine judges, one of them is the chief judge.
The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit- Created in 1982. It established the new court to centralize, and so speed up, the handling of appeals in certain kinds of civil cases. It hears appeals in patent, trademark, and copyright cases coming from the 94 district courts around the country. This court has 12 judges and usually hears cases in Washington D.C. Appeals may be taken to the Supreme Court, but usually aren't.
