I feel like men also represent women negatively by the word choices they use. It is just easier to see the difference when a man sing and when a woman sings a song. Men use more upbeat songs to get our attention. Most songs have no meaning or substance to it but it is very catchy and we dance to it. For example, some negative ways men regard women is like "If you a bad b**ch put your hands up high". In their music videos they use women who's body appear to be an hour glass figure, big butts, perfect boobs, and a women who will always come back to them. Men represent women like we won't ever leave them and we need them to survive when that is not necessarily true. Also men show that they are superior and we need to listen to them. There are a lot of men in the music industry which gives them a big advantage. She has a power over a lot of young girls and this is important factor in music. They are not any better than Americans when it comes to bringing down women. In a lot of the music I listen to are made by men. I honestly enjoy the music because of the beats of the song. If we really listen to what they are saying it's not anything that makes sense in my opinion. I don't really listen to any female African Singers because most of the time their music is not as catchy as the male ones. I really should care about how they talk about us but in that moment I go with the flow and really don't pay any mind to what the lyrics are saying. In some cases not all songs are useless and some do have a lot of meaning that touch me. A lot of singers degrade women which is very bad. Women are supposed to be uplifted and brought down. This video shows how a lot of this gradually changed and cause these things to happen. A lot of artist do this which is a problem we have today. This also shows that men are not sexualized like the way women are. You would not see women making a man look less of himself. Lastly, women also put themselves in this problem because in their music videos they are also half naked and talking about something that has to do with their body. They both make a lot of money in the music industry but there is a big difference in both of their music. Beyonce's music is basically made on the emotions she is feeling at the time. Her music have content and meaning behind it. Jay Z is married to a woman that has a big name in the industry but he is still the bread winner for the family. When they had a family issue when cheating occurred Beyonce made a whole album about it. Jay Z is still a man and most of his songs talk about women, sex, money, and drugs. You just know the difference when you listen to male songs and female songs. Also it tends to hit males later on when the problem has been long gone and they make songs about it. This couple is a good example because even though Beyonce is a women she sells herself very well and makes a good name for herself regardless of what her husband talks about or does. Even being married and in the music industry can be a bit of hassle for them because her husband's music contradicts it sometimes. You just hear and see the difference in music with male and females.
