1) I tried to make things less awkward for the kids by trying to understand them better and speak to them in a simpler way.

2) I feel that the areas that went well was the active participation of the kids in our icebreaker activities, and the fact that the kids are able to get along well with us.

3) I think we can improve on getting their attention better as some of them seems to not be interested in the activities. Time planning could have been better too due to the lack of time.

4) Try to find more ways to gain the attention of the kids so that they understand why they are there. To better allow them to learn English, we need to work on convincing them to read and write more.

-the kids had fun and everything went smoothly
-we ensured the kids learnt smth n followed the rules of the games
-both kids n us were able to open up n hv fun

-it was a bit messy, especially at the start. better arrangement and distribution of work to make things clearer and start the session faster

-read books tgt w the kids!
-more competitive games which wld drive the kids to put in more effort (to win and get snacks etc)

i spoke to the kids, got to know about their families , their likes&dislikes and their reading habits
The kids were really shy at first but after you spend more time and be more patient with then, they are able to slowly open up to you
I think more interactive games would really help the kids more in opening up.
I think we need to speak up more when presenting our ideas else, some of the kids were completely distracted and just did what they wanted to.

I talked with this kid and asked if i could sit next to her, we talked about what she liked and what she did in the school and she would continue to talk about her daily activities
I think that we do need a little more structure because when we were told to go into groups, some people had to move across the classroom which is very inconvenient
I think we need more fun and active games kind of like the scavanger hunt my kid liked it ALOT. Maybe like simple words charades or smth..

I made friends with a kid named Arissa and taught her how to construct sentences with words on the flash cards. At the end of the session I also encouraged her to read more books and record them in the book log.
The kids were very cooperative and were willing to participate in all the activities planned.
I think the instructions given could be clearer, maybe write them on the board?
