Line 9: Bradstreet was starving for the Lord and her soul was empty. But when she called out to the Lord, he fulfilled her. This supports the ideal Puritan because they believe that true fulfillment can only be found in God. Her soul was filled with his goodness and only then did she finally feel full.

Line 10: Bradstreet's cries were heard by the Lord and he basically wiped her tears away. This opposes Puritan beliefs as Puritans don't exactly believe in intimate comforting relationships with God. They mainly believe in seeing him, not going to him about their personal problems.

Line 11: This line relates directly to the Bible because imagery is often used that Jesus washed our sins away using blood. This supports the ideal Puritan because she uses descriptions directly from the Bible.

Line 12: Here the Lord's presence calmed Bradstreet and allowed her to not have any fear. This supports ideal Puritan because God should be who they go to when they're afraid.
