Amelia's second attempt at flying across the world

Her Second attemp did not turn out so good as well. The mission actually failed and she has been lost since then. The second attemp started the 1st of June 1937. The trip did start from Oakland and then having several stops for fuell and then 11,000 km over the ocean without any stops. On July 2. 1937 they had just departed from Lae. Due to a lot of misunderstanding they couldn't reach eachother and they could not get in contact with the station. Therefore Amelia could not find their next stop so they did never land. No one knows if they have crashed down in the ocean or if they found a little island. but they have never been found. Not even her plane. and that is all we know. The rest we have to imagine ourself. wether she died or lived happy on an island. Rest in peace Amelia Earhart.
