The person with number one has to defend the requirements laid out in the Constitution. The person with number 2 has to oppose and suggest new/stricter requirements. The Observers should comment/ask questions about the statements of the debaters, and rate their arguments and evidence.

Against:
I believe that the requirements for federally elected officials is not sufficient enough. For example, the current requirements for becoming president of the United States state that you should be a natural-born citizen in the United States, live in the United States for at least 14 years and be at least 35 years of age. I believe that someone should instead be living in the United States their entire life because that particular individual would know everything that is going on in the United States. That person would therefore know everything that is going on in the country.

Evidence #1:
"The constitution of Mexico requires the candidate to be natural-born citizen of Mexico with at least one parent who is a natural-born citizen of Mexico. The person should be at least 35 years of age and should have resided in Mexico for at least 20 years in his entire lifetime and for the entire year before the election. The person should not be a secretary or under-secretary of state, attorney general, or governor of a state at least 6 months prior to the election."
***
This shows the stricter requirements for other countries compared to the requirements to become a president in another country, in this example, Mexico.

Closing Statement:
When taking into consideration the requirements to become president in another country compared to the requirements to become president in the United States, it can clearly be seen that the requirements for president--and even elected officials in general--should have stricter qualifications. As citizens of the United States, it is clearly obvious that we would want a leader who knows absolutely everything about the United States and everything about it to consider our votes during presidential elections. This goes for other levels of authority too such as vice president, president pro tempore, and even the mayor of our own town--prerequisites sufficient enough to do what citizens would want them to do and to reliably keep them safe.

Closing Statement:
Based on the evidence I have provided the requirements to become the president in another country are fair. The process of the electoral college and the way the citizens vote for their presidents are strict in fact. As a president age matters and when our founding fathers made this way, they wanted to assure the president has all qualifications to lead the country.
