Founded 4 stages to Cognitive Development: 1. Sensorimotor stage (birth to 2yrs)-  object permanence. 2. Pre-operational stage (from 2 to 7yrs)-  operational thought. 3.Concrete operational stage (from 7 to 11yrs)- Numbers, reasoning and relationships development
4. Formal operational stage (11yrs +) -develop the ability to think abstract and logically test hypotheses

Thought people learned through social interactions from guided learning within the zone of proximal development.

Said that language plays a role in cognitive development because it is a intellectual adaptation tool and the main way adults communicate information to kids.

I like the idea of giving possibilities of hope for what ever skill you may possess or develop and when teaching that is a very positive outlook to have on students and the concept of the 8 different intelligences make for great testing for educations and job placement. I do agree with Vygotsky's sociocultural idea because growing up that was my way of learning. I stayed in a positive environment around strong educators and that reflected in my growth. I believe that all the differences and similarities of the three I compared and contrasted play a huge role on education and learning in the 21st century, because without these theories we wouldn't have reached the technology addition that we have today. They shaped the ideas on how we learn and today we are trying to figure out different and engaging ways to implement them. I think the theories align with my person vision because I want to have a sociocultural multiple intelligence environment as my platform. These theorist really helped me see that teaching is not a field I would ever be interested in. Both Gardner and Piaget thought that knowledge and learning methods are related to their experiences. They also agreed on the use of physical activity for example Piaget suggested hands on activity compared to Gardner whose 4th intelligence is Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence.
