1. This is the Shanxi Museum that I have visited the most times before. This museum might not be my favourite, but it definitely one of my early memory of museums and even history.
When I was in college, I studied cultural relics and museology and then I gained a lot of basic knowledge about museum.

2. I always think that the human rights is one of the most important topic of all time... I respect all races, genders and any other beautiful lives in the world. This kinda changed my way of thinking and made me want to doing some research to explore how museum should do in the future.
However in China, most of museums are around tangible culture, not equality. That makes me think about the absence of the role of museums in the progress of equality.

- Human rights (i.e. LGBTQ+ community or feminism) Really interested in how museums could promote equality of human rights in the future.
- Discuss what factors hinder the progress of human rights, especially in China.
- How should Chinese government raise public awareness about equality and try to cope with traditional values at the same time?
- Compare the expression of human rights between China and the western world and find the difference of the situation to take appropriate approaches.
^ Still consider to choose the big topic -- human rights, or just focus on some specific topic, like feminism or LGBTQ+ community

3. In college I studied culture heritage as one of my compulsory lessons and I actually wrote my dissertation around it. I did a lot of interesting research around the situation of Chinese village and how they are protecting their heritage, including tangible and intangible.
This experience makes me more realize the importance of preserving our culture, because the situation is actually not very good. Museum should protect human culture and try to highlight these points hidden in the heritage we can use in the future.

The Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China

http://www.19371213.com.cn/en/

This museum was built in 1985 in Nanjing to commemorate the 300,000 Chinese slaughtered during the Second Sino-Japanese War in WW2. It is one of the national first-grade museums of China, and has became a regular venue for the National Ceremony for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre since 2014.

The museum was designed as an audience-centred site to commemorate these people and the period of history, and it also served for local community to encourage mutual voice to discuss how to build a better and anti-fascist society for the future. The museum designed a series of activities for education, including 'Comfrey Peace Lecture' and 'Comfrey International Peace School' to discuss the contemporary and historical issues. So I think it relies on the multiple principles of designing for creative lives.
