The Caribbean region in contemporary society is predominantly made of African individuals, however some countries are made up of individuals of Indian or Chinese descent. In Trinidad and Tobago there are two main political parties made up two main ethnic groups African and East Indian and when its election time race takes centre stage in both parties. Race also still sometimes cause individuals to prejudice and judge a person social class for example in Trinidad you may assume that white person might be a foreign worker and wealthier than the average Trinidadian.
