Like many of the other suggestions, having students participate in VIA and having first-hand experience would be a good way. However, an 'experience' can be conducted in different ways and the value of such an 'experience' comes from students being convinced that these values and dispositions are authentic and valuable characteristics that they should strive to exemplify. This means that such experiences should not be tied to fulfilling VIA obligations/CCA points but to broadening their perspectives.

Whether it be through stories, peer-sharing or VIA, I think taking the time to have students reflect and walk in the shoes of another person after the experience will help them to make sense of their own feelings and connect these feelings to the learning points.
