Mrs. Berry has truly been a life-saver in supporting Mrs. DeJarnett's French classes in her absence. At the start of the year, her classes were covered by a daily substitute to which Mrs. Berry supported the sub, providing them access to course materials and even grading their work. She also communicated updates with parents as necessary. This is a lot to take on with your course load and for another language outside of the one you teach! MHS was recently recognized by Georgia’s State Superintendent, Richard Woods, for growth in literacy on last year’s End-of-Course assessment. When he presented our school with the award yesterday, Superintendent Woods noted that “recognition for literacy growth at the high school level is one of the most difficult distinctions to achieve.” This is the first time Marietta High School has been recognized for literacy growth!!! WAY TO GO, ELA!!!! We are so proud of you!
