However, it was the highest building in the world when it was built. However, not everyone agreed to have this monument on the Black Hills. Native Americans and the original residents were opposed to the idea since the Black Hills were holy. Also, the U.S. government had promised the tribes that they would not occupy the Black Hills, but they didn't keep their promise. The tribes and the residents protested to the governments, demanding the return of their territory, but unfortunately, they failed.

There is a story about the Sphinx’s broken nose.The Egyptians used to make offerings to the Sphinx in order to retain the flood cycle. There was an emperor who broke the Sphinx’s nose and they had droughts for a long time.

The size of the monument is about three huge elephants. In addition, at 164 feet high by 148 feet wide, it's the second largest triumphal arc standing today, while North Korea has the largest one in the world. The arc is based on four huge pillars which stands for the four victories and war scenes. The top of the arch has the names of major successes during the Revolutionary and Napoleonic periods. It is located at the end of The Mall in London. The whole sculpture project takes nautical themes as its theme, implying British naval power. Before it was built, King Edward VII proposed the formation of a joint parliamentary committee to develop a plan for Victoria Memorial. There was a design competition, and Thomas Brock had been chosen as the designer. He said that it was devoted to "qualities which made our Queen so great and so much beloved." The top of the memorial is the gilded bronze Winged Victory. Beneath it are four marble statues, meaning enthronement, motherhood, justice, and truth of Queen Victoria. Today, Victoria Memorial is often used as a venue for important events.

The nomad people were good at fighting, but they could not do anything about the wall. The wall really protected farming at that time. The wall was rebuilt in Han, Northern Qi, and particularly Ming. The wall represents the history, strength, and literary art of China. The Great Wall of China is famous all over the world and attracts 4 million tourists every year.
