The Puritans valued religion over everything else. They incorporated religion in their government. They prayed as often as possible. This clouded their american dream by leading them to believe lies and killing many of those they love.

In the Age of Enlightenment, Americans valued 3 things specifically. The freedom to do as they please, including protests, bearing arms, and reports. They valued their life, and the rights that are naturally given to every ,man. They valued property, the right to own and control it, ad the right to share it. Theses values are what their American Dream was based off of, Life, Liberty< and the pursuit of happiness.
