         <title>Why We Need More Visibility for Women in STEM Fields</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Women like Ada Lovelace, Marie Curie, and Frances E. Allen have changed the world. Their work in computing, physics, and computer science has opened new paths for everyone. But&nbsp;<strong>too many times</strong>, their stories&nbsp;<strong>are not told</strong>.<strong>enough. To give more visibility</strong>&nbsp;to women in STEM isn’t just about fairness—it helps&nbsp;<strong>the society</strong>&nbsp;grow&nbsp;<strong>more stronger</strong>.</p><p><strong>Being 50 years old</strong>, I’m now studying AI&nbsp;<strong>for to improve</strong>&nbsp;people’s lives. These women&nbsp;<strong>give me inspiration</strong>&nbsp;that it’s never late to learn or&nbsp;<strong>to have big dreams</strong>. Their achievements&nbsp;<strong>push me to continue</strong>, even&nbsp;<strong>in the hard days</strong>.</p><p><strong>Yesterday’s electricity cut</strong>&nbsp;reminded us how&nbsp;<strong>we depend so much</strong>&nbsp;on science and tech. So why&nbsp;<strong>we don’t make sure</strong>&nbsp;everyone—men and women—<strong>can have the chance</strong>&nbsp;to contribute?</p><p>STEM needs&nbsp;<strong>many different voices</strong>, and women’s voices&nbsp;<strong>are necessity</strong>. Let’s keep learning from&nbsp;<strong>the history</strong>&nbsp;and build&nbsp;<strong>a more bright</strong>&nbsp;future,&nbsp;<strong>all together</strong>.</p>]]></description>

         <title>The Mind Behind GPS - Gladys West</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><p>We all use GPS every day, but did you know a woman helped make it possible? Her name is Gladys West, and she was a mathematician who worked for the U.S. Navy in the 1950s. Back then, it was super rare to see women, especially Black women in science jobs. But Gladys stood out. She created complex math models to figure out the exact shape of the Earth, which is super important for GPS to work.</p><p>For a long time, nobody really knew about her, but now she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves. She was even added to the U.S. Air Force Hall of Fame. I think it’s really inspiring that someone who didn’t get much credit at first is now seen as a tech pioneer. More people should learn about women like her who made a huge impact in science and tech.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Ada Lovelace: Pioneer of Symbolic Computing</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Ada Lovelace went far beyond mere numerical calculation in her 1843 notes on Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine. She suggested that the device could process various symbols, including letters, numbers, musical notes, and even visual representations, foreshadowing fundamental concepts of contemporary computing like object-oriented design and a variety of data types. Ada anticipated that even when Analytical Engines were only theoretical prototypes, machines could follow symbolic instructions to perform complex tasks beyond arithmetic. This contributed to laying the groundwork for multimedia applications, graphical user interfaces, and database queries. Her innovative abstraction established computers as artistic collaborators and communicators rather than just mathematical engines by demonstrating that code can transcend computation to enable rich human expression. Her reputation is further enhanced by the fact that she was able to foresee these ideas decades before the first actual computers were created, demonstrating her visionary nature and the ways in which her ideas still influence creativity and technology today.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Emmy Noether: The Invisible Architect of Modern Physics</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I want to talk to you about Emmy Noether, a truly revolutionary mind and someone I have admired for a long time. Despite facing huge barriers for being a woman (even working for years without a salary or an official position simply because of her gender) and Jewish in a hostile time during the early 20th century, her genius and perseverance made her a giant figure in mathematics and physics. She was an essential and lasting part of the revolution that both fields experienced, laying the foundations for the technological world we live in today.</p><p>Her most celebrated contribution is Noether's Theorem, an idea of profound beauty, elegance and power. Simply put: it shows that every continuous symmetry in the laws of nature directly implies a conservation law. The conservation of energy? It comes from symmetry in time. The conservation of linear momentum? From symmetry in space. This allowed 20th-century physics to derive fundamental conservation laws directly from the structure of its theories, making her theorem one of the most important of the century.</p><p>This theorem is not just elegant, it is fundamental. It is an essential tool in modern theoretical physics, from classical mechanics to quantum field theory. Noether inspires us not only because of her intellect, but also as a shining example of overcoming adversity. Her legacy endures and should be recognized and celebrated.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <title>Amazing Grace - Following Ada&#39;s legacy</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Like Ada Lovelace before her, Grace Murray Hopper is a founding mother of the profession I will soon pursue, computer programming.</p><p><br/></p><p>Nicknamed “Amazing Grace” for her lively, irreverent public speaking, she pushed Ada’s legacy further by letting machines, as she put it, “understand English”. <br>That is, by creating the first compiler in history.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not satisfied with that breakthrough, she also co‑designed the almost immortal language COBOL, which still handles financial transactions across the globe, earning her a second nickname, “Grandma COBOL”.</p><p><br/></p><p>Beyond her technical milestones, Hopper was an inspiring public figure who translated complex ideas into easy, interesting, and understandable stories.<br>Thanks to her charisma and vision, she became a key figure for women in science and, in general, the STEM field. </p><p><br>To have an idea of how an inspiration it was (and still is) for lots of computer scientists, especially women, every year she is honored at the “Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing” the biggest event for female technologists in the world.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>She was the first person to write about an algorithm intended for a machine. Her collaboration with Charles Babbage, who had designed the first mechanical computer known to man, was pioneering. Ada realised that computers were capable of much more than just calculations – and she was right, which was quite a far-sighted view in the 19th-century mind.</p><p><br/></p><p>Her legacy is especially relevant now since she was one of the first people to look so closely at computing. She saw the possibility that machines could also be made to do different things that we might program them to do, and this was a fundamentally different way of thinking about technology.</p><p><br/></p><p>Her incredibly hard work shows us what a vital role women play in STEM, and her legacy continues to impact tech. The vision of Ada Lovelace was ahead of her time, and because of her, we have the incredible technology that we rely upon today.</p>]]></description>

         <title>The Stunning Mind of Hedy Lamarr</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hedy Lamarr was a famous Hollywood actress known for her beauty and roles in classic films during the 1930s and 1940s. However, beyond her film career, she was also a brilliant inventor with a strong interest in science and technology. During World War II, Lamarr worked with her friend and composer George Antheil to create a frequency-hopping spread spectrum system. Their goal was to stop enemy forces from jamming signals that guided torpedoes. Although the technology was too advanced for the time and wasn’t used during the war, it became extremely important later.</p><p><br/></p><p>The concept they developed became the foundation for modern wireless communication, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. These are essential tools that billions of people use every day. For many years, Lamarr’s contribution was overlooked, but in 1997, she and Antheil received the Electronic Frontier Foundation Pioneer Award in recognition of their invention.</p><p><br/></p><p>Hedy Lamarr’s life is a powerful reminder that creativity and intelligence can exist in many forms. She broke barriers not only in entertainment but also in science and engineering. Today, she is remembered not just as a movie star, but as a true pioneer in technology and an inspiration for women in STEM.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I’ve always found it unfair how women’s contributions to STEM have often gone unrecognized. So many of them were behind major discoveries, yet their names were pushed aside or forgotten. Learning about women like Katherine Johnson at NASA or Marie Curie truly inspired me, not just because of their intelligence, but because of the courage it took to succeed in a space that wasn’t built for them. They showed that passion and persistence can break through any barrier. I believe it’s so important to highlight their stories so that more girls and young women feel like they belong in STEM fields. Personally, knowing what these women achieved makes me feel more motivated to keep learning and to trust in my own abilities.I hope in the near future more women are recognized for their achievements in the STEM environment.</p>]]></description>
