I want to read all of these books because most people's feedback is that these are really good books and have interesting plots and settings. I have read some of the series in the Hunger Games and Percy Jackson books but I haven't completed reading them. I love reading books because it gives my an escape from reality, every time I read I feel as if I am in the book,especially when I read genre's like action, romance, and science fiction. Throughout, elementary and early middle school writing wasn't really something I did well in. Rarely, I would get an A on a writing assignment, the average grade on almost every one of my writing pieces would be a B and that isn't something that I would be proud of to show my parents, their expectations for me are higher than that.

In 7th grade, I begin to get a little bit better at writing. The only real problem I had was grammar and that took a tole on my final grade for essays and short stories, etc....My writing journey isn't really over yet, and I believe it will never be really over because writing is an essential skill in life.  Anyway's, by the end of my 8th grade year Ms.Turner promised all 8th grade students that we will have master writing and more in her class to get ready for high school. I have a vehemently that she is telling the truth, at least I hope so.

Strengths? As an author? I think my only strength as an author is writing informative essay's. In these essay's almost everything is evidence based with your opinion of somethings. I find these easier to write than writing something that is completely your own opinion. Thus, as my writing journey continues I hope to have more strengths than my only one.

Welcome to my E-Portfolio

Hello, my name is Abiba B. Guira and I am a 8th grade student at Lady Liberty Academy Charter School.This is my last year at a middle school and next would be my journey in high school. Throughout, all of elementary and lower middle school I wasn't really known as the trouble-maker and such I was always the quiet kid who always does her work.But,now in 8th grade I am starting to break out of the shell. This demonstrates how much I have grown since I was in kindergarten, back then I would only speak if I had to, for instance when a teacher called me to answer a question. 
Creating this  portfolio would help show how I have grown from the beginning of my 8th grade year to end of it. I believe making this e-portfolio will help me find my voice as a writer, since I want to master that before I leave middle school. This e-portfolio could help me in the "real world" because maybe some of my best pieces could be here on this padlet. This could help me show some  high school's what kind of an author I am and  when I have to write an essay for  them , this will show how I have mastered writing because of my practice on this padlet. To whom ever reads this I want you to be able to identify what kind of person I am or get the gist of my identity when you read my padlet, so I hope to accomplish this goal.
