But when it came to the day that Blade graduated, he did not see his Dad in the crowd. And right when Blade was going to say his speech about his class and to the whole world (he was going to sing a song), they started cheering, but not for Blade. It was his Dad crashing his car into the graduation. With his “Drunk Breath” breathing on Blade. Ruining and embarrassing Blade. Blade is the main character in the story Solo, and the reason I wanted to wait to review his character for so long is because he is a very changing character. At first he was all about love and affection with his girlfriend, Chapel, and now later in the story he is filled up with anger about his father totally crashing his graduation party. Blade is one of those people who have different mood swings and can change how they feel about their life in a second.

Who should care about this son of no one?” I pulled this quote out of the book because Blades life is pretty hectic, no only now finding out he’s adopted, he has a father who says he not in the family harshly. Also he has a girlfriend who loves him so much, but has a strict Dad that hates Blade and splits them up forever. And Blade is still embarrassed from his “father” for hurting his life in general so much every day. And I feel that since Blade has a tough life the story will continue to relate to this. She is a girl Blade meets on his quest to find his real mother (after he found out he was adopted) and found out his mother lives and serves in Ghana. But when Blade meets Joy, they slowly fall in love. Joy is very sweet and nice to Blade and Blade (after figuring out Chapel cheated on him) falls in love with Joy. Unfortunately, Joy wants to stay in Ghana to serve the young children and Blade wants to go out and find his mother on the mountains of Ghana.
