It is told from the man's, Charlie Gordon's, perspective, as the audience reads his progress reports, they can see how much he has changed and grown within a short period. He talks about his experiences with people, how those may have changed him for the better or worse, and how he feels after the operation himself. His level of intelligence has risen immensely, which could be seen as the reports continued. Scientists, mentally slower people, or experimenters may find use of the information. The surgery performed in the story was not common to be used amongst humans. It could have given researchers ideas and conclusions of how to improve the operation for the better. In the future, advances and changes could be made for artificial intelligence to remain inside of the brain. Any scientist or researcher would gain benefits from the story. As for mentally slow people, they may find the story relatable. It's comforting to know that there are people like themselves out there.
